very interesting fight this weekend in berlin.
Its a middleweight fight abraham is a very hard puncher, you cant take his punches at this weight but you can slip them or move around.
garder has beaten top fighter with Olajide and that russian fellow toygonbayev at lightmiddleweight.
He doesnt seem to have much fire power but was never knocked down was he ever hurt against Olajide ?
How slick is he ? Is he a come forward fighter ?
Give something about Gardner and i will give you more about Abraham.

Olajide hurt Gardner in round 11 but to my knowledge Gardner hasn't been down . Ian Gardner has the worst style ever in a boxer, he runs, slaps and holds. He's not real fluid though. The key to this fight is, how strong is Abraham and can he get into punching range? Gardner is a HORRIBLE guy to try to fight if you are slow.

gardner is as awkward as they come....take it from me...i had olajide....and gardner played hide and seek with him......tall(akmost 6` tall)...lefty...

he`s very difficult to fight...abraham will have to chase all night...

frustrating to watch...must be frustrating to fight....

if abraham is a plodder...lead footed...he will have problems....

i`m wondering why they chose to fight gardner?....why not someone who stands in front of him?

my guess is that the home venue will be good enough to get the win....because gardner fights are ridiculously hard to score....and i doubt that sauerland is in this to taint their meal ticket.....i seriously doubt that gardner can stop abraham...unless his chin is bogus...gardner doesn`t usually set himself to throw shots...he`s always moving..clinching...like an octopus...

i`ve always been an eric harding fan...but,rumor had it that he was doing "bad things" in the last few fights before he went on hiatus...the guy was very talented...wasn`t himself in the last tarver fight...or the johnson fight....

he beat the piss out of tarver in their first fight....and was giving him a boxing lesson for three rounds in the second before inexplicably tiring prematurely and getting caught.....

a slick, master boxing lefty tiring in the 3rd round?....a guy used to going the distance?

i want to take a chance with harding....but,no way with these odds.....and no way coming off that layoff.....is he the real harding?...or the one that seemed to collapse in his last few fights?.....

i don`t know....and i`m not paying to find out.....will never play a guy off a long layoff..

i will say that the guy was a top 3 lt heavythrough the middle of 2002.....what happened after that i have no idea(well,i do have an idea).......ashamed...

i believe, sight unseen, that valuev will get the job done...i was unimpressed with levin...looks pretty...looks like an athlete...but,he didn`t impress me at all...

levin reminds me of a heavyweight raymond joval.....not quite good enough....does everyting o.k...nothing really well..

wouldn`t lay those odds straight up...like i said,i know next to nothing about valuev...except he`s enormous...

thanks for the replays

but i was in a hurry because the line is moving fast and not in my direction.
i lay a dime down on abraham.

That gardner is moving a lot is not good because abraham is slow on his feet although he can speed up sometimes but i placed the bet because i like a lot of little things.

Gardner has no lobby canadian is supposed to lose but wins fights
how much time does he have to prepare ?
He fought 12 rounds with olajide on 20 November then chrismas etc
He knew that he has to fight Abraham 3 or 4 weeks before the fight.
Abraham was supposed to fight Eduardo than Toney (not James) and than they found Gardner.
Is this guy even already in germany ? If not he is in trouble.
You can win a dec in germany no problem but you have to beat the homefighter clearly running and hugging will not do the job although Ottke fought this way too.
This is not a high profile fight, I would love to know the judges for this fight.
Abraham is a fighter who is as hungry as it gets he is no german but some east european thats a big plus because he will try for twelve rounds to get that guy out of there.

On the other hand
Sauerland has a horrible history of picking strong unknown fighter.
A supposed has been Akinwande totaly dominated Hofmann and Harris ended Urkals dreams of being champ. This has happend on lower levels as well makes for good fights but is not good for my bet.

Bottom line :
If this fight is close and hard to score Gardner will win no dec in berlin. And he will not knock him out neither.
Maybe Abraham gets him or he should win a dec with a little help.

I know that is dirty reasoning but those are my reasons. I hope he gets him out of there.

And sphincter i am actually going against you with Mcculough (I like old fighters and Roach) I was on Hill to win a dec against Mormeck and that was pretty close. 34 is no age for Boxer. Just in a suicide parlay but still ...
the over looks better to me but what do i know

I looked at Harding myself but not at these odds.

alot of guys seem to be very fond of mccullough....i like him myself...he`s a hard worker.....a credit to the game....

but he`s been very inactive...and the guys he has fought recently have been opponents at best(sans harrison....and i`m not sure how good harrison is....he was just to big for mccullough)...

why jump back in so fast with the guy that is recognized as the top in the division?.....

on the flip side, word is that larios is having trouble with the weight...

but, why, then, would he sign to fight joan guzman in april?.....

who knows....and obviously,it sounds like larios isn`t taking mccullough seriously if he`s already looking at guzman...i don`t like that.......but,that`s good for you,tony...

we`ll see tomorrow night....

btw...i`m gonna parlay abraham with something....i`m looking...i just don`t see him slapping and clutching his way to a victory in the fatherland.....i doubt they`ll take kindly to his style....vs. their adopted homeboy...

g.l.,bud...

If Abraham is slow on his feet the over 11.5 +110 is worth a look

I'd like to know the ring size, if its a big ring Gardner might not get touched

i would literally pay to know ring size prior to these bouts...that`s an excellent point,b.l......

think about it a bit.....in germany, your guys in the high profile fights are valuev, sam and abraham.......

what do you have going in these 3?....probably the puncher in each bout......definitely not the boxer......sam will probably have to go to clay-bey to be effective.....ditto abraham.....and valuev is much bigger than levin....whose chin wasn`t exactly cast iron vs jeremy williams....

i`m guessing the ring will be relatively small....a little deductive reasoning...lol

unless sauerland is an idiot.....which he`s not...

...if you are the promoter, and have the punchers in all 3 high profile bouts, you`d want to make it as easy for them as possible...it`s not like they have ottke fighting...

makes sense to me...of course,i`m the guy that had nate campbell vs peden.....lol

i`ve been reading around the net that abraham is extremely slow....i`m going to lay off that parlay......

i`m actually worried that sam may be to slow vs old clay bey....cly bey is 9 years older than sam....if sam flubs here,he might want to think about opening a pistachio farm...

Good instinct on abraham. He is a professional for only 15 month and he is stepping up big time he delivered against Hamdan in that fight he showed alot but Gardner has faced and beaten excellent opposition so i dont like the minus money so much. There is a clear scenario for gardner to win stick and move which seems to be his natural way.
I am doing pretty lately with plus money and dont want to get burned by betting stupid favorits.
Actually the over at plus looks more tempting. I wait for the weigh in.
That is also important for the Sam fight if Clay Bey is in shape and light watch out.
